You ask what is Truth, and how shall we know it? I say to you my friend that truth lies at the centre of the soul. Through our different lives we draw ever closer to that centre, which is the whole and the part of the whole, the self and the creator, the unity of Being.
A man’s Truth is a personal attainment that can only be found by the individual. No one else has the authority to provide the answer.
Pluck a clear note from a vibrant string,
And to the listener, unseen
A chord of Truth will ring.
The lute grows still at the end of the air,
And the watcher will see .
That string of Truth lying, still and clear.
All men hear the call of the note, and follow an image of that Truth until, with the end of the vibration, they can stand and wonder at the source of the sound.
He whose soul is touched by the note becomes restless until he has found the source. All religious faiths claim to represent the divine Truth, but they are little more than wrapping paper which must be torn away before the believer can reach his own soul, which lies within the package.
